I couldn't wait to get home from work to finish this, Moe was a snake forreal I knew he had something to do with Kyzer going to jail, I didn't know it was that they were that connected WOW, he even set Avanna up at the bar and hee husband, I hope Kyzer is ok so he can explain to Man-Man what's going on and I hope the siblings get closer since they loss their mother, can't wait to see what happens next
Wow...I really did not see this ending coming! I need part two to see how everything plays out. There was so much deceit going on til you really dont know who to trust. I was a little confused at the beginning with the way the story shifted but there was no problem understanding after reading a little further. Glad it was cleared up. I would definitely recommend this as a good read. It held my interest from cover to cover. The only question I would like answered is why the mom didnt like Miles? An overall good book though.
The story kept me engaged. Kyzer, Avanna, Moe, Miles Montez were all connected in ways they were not ware of. As Kyzer fights to be back on top he does not know who his enemies are and they are closer that he knows. When Miles tells Avanna his secret, she tells Kyzer but tells him there are others involved and give her time to find out who the other players are. Of course Kyzer can't do that and is out to kill Miles. There has to be a part 2 because of that cliffhanger ending that leaves you in real suspense wondering what happened. I'm team Kyzer and I can see him and Montez taking over things. I hope there is a 2 and there is not a long wait
Moe was supposed to be Kyzer's ace, his best friend. He was supposed to hold down the fort until Kyzer came home. Seven years is a long time to spend your life in prison, all because someone else is greedy and afraid of your rise to "fame" so to speak. Miles is so busy trying to maintain an image and keep his wife living the lifestyle to which she's become accustomed to, that I think he forgets to love her. Avanna is so caught up in her own "fairy-tale," that she neglects her mom and brother. Montrez is so hell bent on proving that he's a man that he neglects his mom and makes things work. All of this chaos starts to come together when Kyzer is released from jail,and old feelings between Avanna and Kyzer resurface. Miles had a plan all along, but he wasn't alone. Seems Moe isn't who he portrayed himself to be...anxiously waiting on part 2.
Whoah!! Couldn't put the book down once I got into it. The twists and turns is amazing!! Look forward to the next installment.
This was a good book and quick read finished in one day starting part 2 now hope it's just as good...
This book reeled me in from the first chapter. Since it's not many characters it's not much to comment on. Kyzer is the definition of a true Baller. I don't know what's going to happen with Miles but I am voting for Kyzer and Avanna to rekindle the rest of the magic. Trying to find out Moe's whole part in what went down. His actions doesn't fit the profile of a snitch but you never know in the drug game. I am looking forward to what is going to happen next. A. Ward you got me with that ending. This is my first book by this author , I enjoyed it. I wish it was a little longer.
